The River Medway is a river which flows for 70 miles (110 km) from the High Weald in Sussex, through Kent to the point where it enters the Thames Estuary. The river becoms tidal after Allington Lock.

Until 1746 the river was impassable above Maidstone. The Environment Agency is the navigation authority.
