St. Anthony is a city in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 86 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area. Main routes include Minnesota State Highway 238, Stearns County Road 153, and Trobec Street.

History

St. Anthony in Stearns County was settled circa 1880 and incorporated in May 1911.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.49 square miles (1.27 km2), all land.

The city of St. Anthony is located within Krain Township geographically but is a separate entity. Nearby places include Albany and Freeport.

2010 census

As of the census of 2010, there were 86 people, 30 households, and 23 families living in the city. The population density was 175.5 inhabitants per square mile (67.8/km2). There were 33 housing units at an average density of 67.3 per square mile (26.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.8% White and 1.2% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.

There were 30 households, of which 43.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.3% were married couples living together, 3.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 23.3% were non-families. 20.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.39.

The median age in the city was 33.3 years. 36% of residents were under the age of 18; 5.9% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 34.9% were from 25 to 44; 15.2% were from 45 to 64; and 8.1% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 47.7% male and 52.3% female.
