The Zone of Interest is a 2023 historical drama film written and directed by Jonathan Glazer, co-produced between the UK and Poland. The story is loosely based on the 2014 novel by Martin Amis, itself based on real events. It stars the German actors Christian Friedel and Sandra Hüller as the Nazi commandant Rudolf Höss and his wife, Hedwig, who live with their family in a home in the zone of interest next to the Auschwitz concentration camp.

The Zone of Interest premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on 19 May 2023 to acclaim, winning both the Grand Prix and FIPRESCI Prize, and was named one of the top five international films of 2023 by the National Board of Review. It won three BAFTAs (including Film not in the English Language) and Academy Awards for Best International Feature and Best Sound, and was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards.
