University of the Punjab is a public university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1882 and is the oldest university in Pakistan. The university is spread over an area of 1,800 acres (7 km2). It is affiliated with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Pakistan Engineering Council.

Campus

It has two campuses in Lahore, the Allama Iqbal campus (the old campus) and the Quaid-e-Azam campus (the new campus). There is also a campus in Gujranwala, Jhelum, Khanaspur and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
