Verdel is a village in Knox County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 30 at the 2010 census.

History
Verdel had its start at its current site in about 1902 when the Chicago and North Western Railroad was extended to that point. The name Verdel is derived from the Spanish word verde, meaning "green".
Geography
Verdel is located at 42°48′41″N 98°11′36″W / 42.81139°N 98.19333°W (42.811474, -98.193289).

As of the census of 2010, there were 30 people, 20 households, and 7 families living in the village. The population density was 176.5 inhabitants per square mile (68.1/km2). There were 36 housing units at an average density of 211.8 per square mile (81.8/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 100.0% White.
There were 20 households, of which 30.0% were married couples living together, 5.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 65.0% were non-families. 60.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 25% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.50 and the average family size was 2.29.
