Womelsdorf (Coalton) is a town in Randolph County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 250 at the 2010 census.
Womelsdorf was the name of a mining official; the variant name of Coalton was given on account of local mining operations.

At the 2010 census there were 250 people, 97 households, and 68 families living in the town. The population density was 609.8 inhabitants per square mile (235.4/km2). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 270.7 per square mile (104.5/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.4% White, 0.4% Native American. Of the 97 households 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.5% were married couples living together, 15.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 29.9% were non-families. 25.8% of households were one person and 17.6% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.10.
The median age in the town was 47 years. 20.4% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 18% were from 25 to 44; 34.4% were from 45 to 64; and 20% were 65 or older. The gender makeup of the town was 48.0% male and 52.0% female.
