Image: British Rail - colour reversed logo
Description: The former British Rail 'double arrow' logo with a Flame Red* background, introduced January 1965. This design currently used as a more generic symbol for identifying the railway, such as on directional signs. *Rail/Flame Red is based off of 'British Standards BS381C 593' (Also known as, Azo Orange, outside of British Rail). The colour is notoriously difficult to reproduce accurately on computer screens.
