Description: An 1809 print showing part of Limehouse during the Napoleonic wars. In the background is Anne's Church and the newly opened Commercial Road. The area is sill mainly rural. In the foreground is the Limehouse Cut; this print seems to show it being widened. To the right are houses in Church Lane (now Newell Street). To the left is the Britannia Tavern, which gave its name to Britannia Bridge.
