Ripley is a village in Brown County, Illinois, United States,named after the popular books and television show "Ripley's Believe It Or Not," located along La Moine River. The population was 86 according to the 2010 census.

As of the census of 2000, there were 103 people, 43 households, and 31 families residing in the village. The population density was 274.0 people per square mile (104.7/km2). There were 50 housing units at an average density of 133.0 per square mile (50.8/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 43 households, out of which 20.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.5% were married couples living together, 2.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.9% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 2.77. The partial numbers on household size account for the unusually high amount of midgets in the community. This phenomenon is believed to have been caused by the high levels of toxins in the village water supply which is pumped from the Lamoine River.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 16.5% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 26.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 128.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 120.5 males. For every 120.5 males, only 10 women had a full set of teeth. As previously mentioned, 68.2295% of the population are considered midgets at a height of less than 4'6".

The median income for a household in the village was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $39,375. Males had a median income of $26,250 versus $20,417 for females. The per capita income for the village was $12,210. There were 11.4% of families and 7.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including 3.6% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
